  • Stay and Play Drop-In

    Mondays: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

    Tuesdays: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm, 1:30 - 4:15 pm

    Wednesdays: 1:30 - 4:15 pm

    Thursdays: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm, 1:30 - 7:30 pm

    Thursday Evenings: 4:30 - 7:30 pm

    Drop-in play afternoons: 1:30 pm - 4:15 pm

    Saturdays: 10:15 am - 1:45 pm


    This is an excellent opportunity for both parents & children to socialize and play in a fun, safe environment. With the exception of scheduled programming times, feel free to "drop-in" to the PLC during any of the above times.

  • Parent Education Classes

    Triple P (Positive Parenting Program):

    Triple P Seminars - 90-minute PowerPoint presentations designed to give parents an understanding of the basics of positive parenting.  Primary Seminars (0-10) include: The Power of Positive Parenting, Raising Confident, Competent Children, and Raising Resilient Children.  Teen Seminars (10-16) include: Raising Responsible Teens, Raising Competent Teens, and Getting Teens Connected.


    Primary Discussion Groups - Each topic is 2 hours and can stand alone.  Topics include: Dealing with Disobedience, Managing Fighting and Aggression, Developing Good Bedtime Routines, and Hassle-Free Shopping with Children.


    Teen Discussion Groups - Each topic is 2 hours and can stand alone.  Topics include:  Getting Teens to Cooperate, Coping with Teenagers’ Emotions, Building Teenagers’ Emotion, Building Teenagers’ Survival Skills, and Reducing Family Conflict.


    Individual Sessions - 1 to 2 hours, once a week, for four weeks.  These are face to face sessions for the parent(s) of children (2-10) or teens (10-16).


    Primary & Teen Groups - 2 hour sessions, once a week, for 8 weeks.  This is a more intensive level for parents needing additional support.  Primary Group (2-10) and Teen Group (10-16).


    Stepping Stones - Parenting support and education available to parents of children with physical or developmental disabilities including autism, ODD, sensory processing disorder or any other special needs.  Topics include:  A Guide to Positive Parenting, A Guide to Family Adaptation, and a Guide to Social Skills.


    Triple P Online - A self-directed on-line course that is completed at your own pace for a maximum of 16 weeks.

    Emotion Coaching:

    -Supports growth of emotional intelligence

    -Promotes social skills

    -Develops emotional literacy

    -Improves family communication and relationships

  • Baby Time

    Fridays: 10:00 - 11:30 am


    A fun and informative group for 0-12 month olds and their caregivers. Older siblings welcome.

  • Child Developmental Screenings

    PLC offers the Ages & Stages and Ages & Stages: Social Emotional Developmental Screenings for ages 2 months to 5 years. This service is available free of charge.  Please phone 403-504-0833 or talk to PLC staff to arrange an appointment.

  • Messy Makers

    Don't like to take out sand, water and paint at your house? Want the fun without the mess? Join us every Tuesday from 10:00 - 11:00 am for some messy making fun.  Be prepared to get messy and remember to dress for mess! Please note: active supervision is required.

  • Registered Programs

    On Wednesday mornings from September to June we have registered programs. These programs are usually more interactive and require more adult supervision. Here is a list of some of the programs we offer throughout the year (check the newsletter and calendar for current programming):

    - Infant Massage

    - Wild Things Nature Program

    - Wonderkids

    - Little Picassos

    - Junior Jams

  • Family Open Gym Time

    Thursdays: 6:00 - 7:30 pm.  Runs September - June.


    This is a chance to let your family run off some energy in the gym!  Please note that this program is subject to availability as school functions take priority in the gym.

  • Super Dads Group

    Every Saturday from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm with free snacks; specifically for Dads, Grandpas, Uncles, or any other male role model. Give mom a break and come to the PLC for free play and activities in the gym.  No registration required.

  •  Mom's Night Out

    A chance for moms to get together, take a break and enjoy a fun, child-free evening out! Registration is required and space is limited.  Call 403-504-0833 for more information.


  • Smile (Single Mothers Interactive Life Enrichment)

    An 8 week group for single mothers and children.  Supper is provided for all families, childcare and transportation is available. Moms will have the opportunity to build their community in an interactive environment with other single mothers. We will work on strengthening resilience, self-esteem, hope, autonomy, and communication. Some of the group sessions include: Life Skills, Practical Skills, Parenting Skills, and Personal Development Skills.  Children will have the opportunity to learn together in a fun, playful environment at the same time.

  • Common Ground Parent/Youth Conflict Resolution

    Common Ground is a short-term, free service that offers youth and caregivers an opportunity to settle differences in an informal, non-threatening setting.  Call 403-504-0833 for more information.

The McMan Parent Link Centre provides families with information and services needed to help their children develop to their full potential and begin school ready to learn.
