  • Stay and Play Drop-In

    Monday & Tuesday 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

    Thursday 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

    Thursday Evening 4:30 - 7:30pm

    Drop-in play afternoons 1:30pm - 4:15pm

    Saturday 10:15 am - 1:4 5pm

    This is an excellent opportunity for both parents & children to socialize and play in a fun, safe environment. With the exception of scheduled programming times, feel free to "drop-in" to the PLC during any of the above times.

  • Parent Education Classes

    Throughout the year we host a variety of parenting classes including Triple P Parenting. Call 403.504.0833 for next scheduled classes.

  • Baby Time

    Friday 10:00 am - 11:30 am

    A fun and informative group for 0-12 month olds and their caregivers. Older sibling welcome.

  • ASQ Developmental Screenings

    Throughout the year, PLC will be conducting early childhood development screenings for ages 0-6 years. The room will continue to be open for drop-in during this time. Please phone or talk to PLC staff to arrange an appointment

  • Messy Makers

    Don't like to take out sand, water and paint at your house? Want the fun without the mess? Join us every Tuesday from 10:00am-11:00am for some messy making fun, in addition to our usual toys. Be prepared to get messy and remember to dress for mess! Please note: You need to accompany your child to each centre.

  • Registered Program

    Wednesday mornings from September-June we have registered programs. These programs are usually more interactive and require more adult supervision. Pre-registration is required, Please call or ask us to add you to the list when you come for a visit. (Please Note: NO FREE PLAY TIME)

  • Family Open Gym Time

    This is a chance to let your family run off some energy in the gym!

  • Super Dads Group

    Every Saturday from 10am-12pm with free snacks; specifically for Dad’s, Grandpa’s, Uncles, or any other male role model. Give mom a break and come to the PLC for free play in the gym, or activities.

  • Triple P

    Selected Brief Intervention: a 30 minute consultation focusing on one specific issue, available for primary ages (0-10) or Teen (10-16)

    Triple P Online: 1 hour, once every one or two weeks, and must be completed within 16 weeks.  This is a self-directed parenting course delivered via the internet.  This is for parents who are struggling with current behavioural issues, and is intended for those who are unable to attend other programs.  Call for more information 403-504-0833.


  • Smile (Single Mothers Interactive Life Enrichment)

    A 10 week group for single mothers and children.  Supper is provided for all families, childcare and transportation is available. Moms will have the opportunity to build their community in an interactive environment with other single mothers. Single Mothers will strengthen resilience, self-esteem, hope, autonomy, and communication, in the following  group sessions: Life Skills, Practical Skills, Parenting Skills, and Personal Development Skills.  Children will have the opportunity to learn together in a fun, playful environment.


  • Common Ground Parent/Teen Mediation

    Common Ground Mediation requires 1-2 hours once a week for a recommended 3 weeks.   It is intended for families that are struggling with conflict. The goal of Common Ground is to look beyond past blaming or guilt and instead ask those in conflict to focus on the present and future.  It is designed to assist each family member to express what is important and then searches for a fair and workable solution for everyone.  It replaces the “me versus you” approach with an “us versus the problem.”  All family members involved in the immediate conflict need to be available to participate in the mediation.


  • B.O.O.K.S. for New Canadians and English Language Learners

    BOOKS is a family literacy program that will run for 6 weeks (Fall & Spring).  This new LEARN funded program at Parent Link Centre is for parents/caregivers of preschool children, who have barriers to learning, are new to Canada, and/or are English language learners.  The program will assist parents with story writing, craft and drama activities, and book sharing strategies. The goal of the program is to improve language and literacy skills of preschool and primary school aged children, increase the influence of literacy in the home, support parents in their efforts to become more comfortable and to participate in the school setting, and to increase confidence of parents to further their own education.

  • Parent Advisory Committee: (PAC)

    This is a group of committed and invested Parent Link Centre parents/caregivers, who are interested in sharing their thoughts and ideas on how to make PLC the best it can be.  This requires a 1-2 hour commitment once every 4 months.

The McMan Parent Link Centre provides families with information and services needed to help their children develop to their full potential and enter school ready to learn.
